Toronto photographer

Using my father's Kodak camera, I started taking photos when I was five years old. I got my own camera two years later.

I had a Grade 7 class that was ahead of its time because it taught multimedia. We learned how to edit photos, movie film, and audio tape, and then combine all three into one production. This was long before desktop computers and digital tools.

I've been in business for 39 years. (Where does the time go?) I started doing photos for Canadian newspapers and magazines and then for two wire services. I've also been producing corporate photography for small and medium-sized businesses in the Toronto area.

Starting in 1994 with Photoshop version 3, I've been digitally editing photos for three decades. Retouching has become a large part of my business. A nice thing about retouching is that I can work from home :-)

Depend on us

Location photography and editorial photography that's perfect for annual reports, business web sites, public relations, press releases, social media, marketing collateral, trade magazines and custom magazines.

People want information. If you can present that information in a way that interests the reader, you will earn their attention.

Human interest is the most important ingredient in a photograph. Real people doing real things. But if you prefer, I can photograph fake people doing pretend things in a real way.

You can also depend on us for realistic photo retouching. I work to improve your digital images and make you look good.

No fancy fireworks

Your business is important to us.

Money doesn't grow on trees and every business has a budget to manage. I work calmly and efficiently. No big productions, no fancy fireworks.

Your time is also valuable.

Having worked for daily newspapers, I've learned that a good picture means nothing if it's delivered late. I know the meaning of a deadline.

No-nonsense, business-minded, results-orientated photography is what I offer.

You can hire anyone but do you want just anyone?

One more thing

When it comes to photography, I don't charge by the hour and I don't work by the hour. I work until the job is done properly. If that means staying after everyone else has gone home then so be it. You hire a photographer not for their time but for their results.

Contact us not only when you want a good photograph but also when you need the right photograph.

Just saying:

A photography business consists of short moments of photography interrupted by long periods of business. But those moments of photography make it worthwhile. Making money is a job. Making good pictures is an accomplishment.
