Simple and subtle retouching can make a big difference in a portrait. Removing distractions and adding a bit of polish can make the subject appear better groomed and more professional. Our perception of the subject is enhanced by the retouching.

Bright clothing is always distracting, so the shirt was replaced with a darker version. Eyes are vital in a portrait, so eyeglass shadows were removed and the eyes brightened. The lighting on the face and neck was evened out to make the skin look healthier.
After retouching, the subject’s features and expression remain the same. Yet our perception, our reaction, to the person has changed. Retouching has enhanced our opinion of the person.
A clean, polished portrait builds trust and connection before a single word is spoken. It tells the world you’re confident and capable.
Retouching is a small investment in your personal brand. It helps build credibility and trust.
