Photo Retouching to Remove Tattoos

Large tattoos like these would normally be left in place because they add to the person’s personality and individuality. The tattoos were removed purely for demonstration purposes—to show what’s possible with retouching.

Tattoos can often be removed with photo retouching. It’s not uncommon for customers to request this, especially for professional portraits. For instance, in business headshots, people sometimes ask to have small, visible tattoos removed to maintain a traditional or formal appearance. I’ve also had similar requests for wedding portraits, family photos, and graduation pictures.

Large tattoos, like those in the photo above, are typically left untouched. These larger works often represent a significant investment of time and money. Such tattoos are an important expression of a person’s identity and personality, and they take great pride in displaying them.
