Real Estate Photography, Large Bathrooms

It’s easier to photograph a large bathroom than a small bathroom and large bathrooms always look better.

A large bathroom can be photographed in a single shot so minimal photo magic is required. There’s usually no need to blend or stitch multiple photos together.

A photo of a large bathroom usually doesn’t require too much retouching. Vertical lines need to be straightened and then colour, brightness and contrast have to be adjusted.

A house photographer has to make sure their reflection isn’t seen when photographing a bathroom. Wearing black clothing helps minimize reflections in glass doors and windows.

It may be necessary to first clean glass surfaces and remove any personal items if the bathroom has been in use. Doing this before the photo is taken will save a lot of retouching time later. There’s a bottle of glass cleaner and a roll of paper towels in my camera bag when I photograph a new home.

Bathrooms can be very expensive rooms. The plumbing and tiling can be complicated. So builders and designers always like to show off their bathroom work. A real estate photographer should spend extra time to make sure they get good pictures of the main bathrooms in a home.
